Calcium, manganese, and nickel metal-binding interactions are enriched during early infection. Tupanvirus whole proteome (blue columns) or proteins identified during early infection (tan columns) were analyzed for metal-binding interactions. Distribution of metal-binding interactions above the cutoff value of 0.4 was tested for significant differences that signal enrichment during early infection (*P ≤ 0.05, **P ≤ 0.005).
