rCVB do not induce strong CD8+ T-cell responses. Twelve C57BL/6 mice were infected as indicated (1° infections; four mice per group) with either LCMV (2 × 105 PFU i.p.), rCVB3.2, or rCVB3.3 (2 × 106 PFU i.p.), and 4 weeks later, all mice were challenged with LCMV (2 × 105 PFU i.p.). Four days later, the mice were sacrificed and their spleens were harvested. CD8+ T-cell responses to the Db-restricted LCMV epitopes GP33 and NP396 were evaluated by ICCS. Representative results are shown from a single mouse in each of the three groups. The oval indicates CD8+ IFN-γ+ cells.
