(A) Patients with metastatic breast cancer adhered to a whole food plant-based diet for 8 weeks. Two 3-day food records and three unannounced 24-hour recalls documented their dietary intake. Serum was collected at baseline and 8 weeks.

(B-I) The percent difference between baseline and 8-week follow-up was measured in participants’ (n=18) consumption of total mass (B), calories (C), fat (D), carbohydrates (E), total protein (F), animal protein (G), vegetable protein (H), and fiber (I) following the adoption of a whole food, plant-based diet. An unpaired t test was used to determine statistical significance.
