(A-C) The percent difference in amino acid consumption between average and 8-week follow-up and the relative abundance of essential (B) and non-essential (C) amino acids in the serum of patients at baseline and 8-week follow-up. An unpaired t test was used to determine the statistical significance of the percent difference in dietary consumption of amino acids (n=51; 17 participants each with 3 daily food records at baseline and 8-week follow-up). A paired t test was used to determine the statistical significance of the relative abundance in serum levels of amino acids (n = 17).
