Vancomycin is shown in green, the peptide in purple, and the catalytic residue of the peptide in cyan. Only the change to introduce the catalytic residue is shown, other changes made to the peptide are not shown. The structure was modified from PDB ID 1FVM with changes made manually, therefore this structure may not represent the actual structure and some dihedral angles may be inaccurate.
