SIV Gag p11C-specific CD8+ T-cell responses as measured by tetramer staining of freshly isolated and peptide-stimulated PBMC and chromium release functional cytotoxicity assays at week 22, which is 1 week following the third immunization. The percent CD3+ CD8+ cells that bind tetramer is shown for the tetramer assays. The percent specific lysis at a 5:1 effector-to-target ratio is shown for the cytotoxicity assays.
