The pK^gag wt and the CA mutated pK^gag-pro vectors were cotransfected into 293T cells at a ratio of 1:1. As a control, cells were transfected with pK^gag wt or pK^gag-pro wt vectors or cotransfected with the pK^gag wt and pK^gag-pro wt vectors. Two days posttransfection, cells were metabolically labeled with [³⁵S]methionine.
