The opaqueness of the bars in the first subplots indicates the DEHP concentration in the recycled waste (higher opaqueness corresponds to higher concentration). The gray areas cover the time periods that are in the future relative to the reference year. For comparison, the same figures for a high recycling rate in the past and a low recycling rate in the future, as well as contaminant removal at recycling are shown in Figure S22.
