The effect of supplementing receiving steers with methionine at 0 (L0), 2.2 (L1), or 4.4 (L2) g/steer/d for 40 d on the rectal temperature (RT) response to an LPS (0.25 µg/kg body weight) challenge. Rectal temperature was measured every 5-min throughout the study and was averaged into 1-h intervals prior to analysis.
