Leaf starch content

Values shown for starch content are in units of mg/g fresh weight ± se. Plants were grown under either long-day (LD; 16-h light/8-h dark) or short-day (SD; 12-h light/12-h dark) conditions. Plants were harvested either at the end of the light phase (EOL) or the end of the dark phase (EOD). For starch depletion, plants were grown in the LD regime, then grown for an extended period in the dark of 18 h, then returned to the light for 16 h.
