Increase in cytosolic Ca2+ induced by Gq-coupled agonists in single cells of the olfactory epithelium of HS and SZ patients. Cells were cultured for three days to assess changes in intracellular Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+]i) induced by 300 μM ATP (A), 300 μM UTP (B), 10 μM serotonin (C), and 10 μM epinephrine (D) by microfluorometry using Fura 2-AM.
