Antigen-specific memory T and B cell responses induced by the vaccination. Lung, spleen, and bone marrow cells were harvested at day 7 post-infection from the immunized and infected mice. Lung and spleen cells were labeled with CFSE and cultured for 5 days in the presence of sPR8 (10 µg/ml) stimulation. T cell proliferation was then determined via flow cytometry (a). Bone marrow cells and spleen cells were also harvested, then incubated with sPR8 (10 µg/ml) for 1 day and 7 days, respectively.
