After cleavage with BamHI, the electrophoretically separated DNA fragments were transferred to a nitrocellulose membrane and probed with a 32P-labeled EcoRI-Dhet probe. As indicated by the increase in the amount of the BamHI-Nhet fragment, linear EBV genomes were efficiently amplified only in wild-type Zta-transfected cells.
