Chromatophore membranes were prepared from R. capsulatus strains grown in enriched medium under respiratory condition and subjected to TMBZ SDS-PAGE analyses as described in Materials and Methods. Approximately 75 μg of proteins of strains MT1131 (wild type), MT-SRP1.r1 (CcmI− CcmFHRcup), and its derivatives containing pDA10 [p(ccmFHRcup)1], pYZ10 [p(ccmFHRcup)], pYZ4 [p(ΔccmF ccmHRcup)], and pYZ12 [p(ccmFup ΔccmHRc)], were loaded in each lane.
