Relative standard curves were derived from analysis of a 5 log10 dilution series of virus of each genotype, except IIB (7 log10 dilutions). PCR efficiency was calculated from the slope of the dilution curve using the formula E = 10(−1/slope), where E refers to PCR efficiency.
