RAC1 overexpression complements the ras1 mutant high-temperature growth and mating defects. (A) The wild-type (WT) strain (JEC21), ras1 mutant (MWC8), ras1 strain containing the empty pRCD83 plasmid (ras1+vector), and ras1 mutant overexpressing the RAC1 gene (ras1+RAC1) were incubated on YPD medium at 30°C or 37°C for 48 h. (B) The wild-type strain (JEC21), ras1 strain containing the empty pRCD83 plasmid (ras1+vector), and ras1 mutant overexpressing the RAC1 gene (ras1+RAC1) were coincubated with the MATa strain JEC20 in mating reactions on V8 medium.
