Mean distribution of waist circumference-to-height ratio (WHtR) and total fat mass (FM) during growth from childhood (age 9 years) through young adulthood (age 24 years) in males and females across different percentiles. Females had significantly higher total fat mass than males as evidenced by the less flat contour ridges in childhood.
