Lipoplexes are present in the cell’s environment and can accumulate in pits in the cell membrane. The lipoplexes in the pit can enter the cell via endocytosis, and the endosome can lyse to release the lipoplexes into the cell. Once they unpack their mRNA, the mRNA gets translated to proteins. The arrows that point down indicate the degradation of the species.
