The method for measuring the amount of fat around the kidney at the location of the renal vein is as follows: (A) None: 0 points. The tissue surrounding the kidney appears completely black on this computed tomography image, with no visible fat stranding. (B) Mild/moderate (type 1): 2 points. The image shows dense areas around the kidneys, but there are no signs of inflammation. (C) Severe stranding (type 2): 3 points.
