OCS Use in Patients with GINA 4/5* Asthma in Germany in 2019. 55,000 patients of 613,000 patients with GINA 4/5 treatment received OCS of > 500 mg/year in 2019; 37,296 because of acute and/or 19,947 because of maintenance therapy. 9,725 patients were above the yearly threshold of 2700 mg prednisolone considered relevant for iatrogenic Cushing’s syndrome.
