Efficacy of QD DNA detection. DNA was labeled as described in Figure 2, (A*) is a DNA molecule labeled with ten times less biotin than in (A). DNA and QD images were analyzed using a home-made software (see Materials and Methods). The proportion of DNA molecules with one label (gray) or two labels (black) is reported.
