Diagnostic criteria for MS.

Disease	Diagnostic criteria
Abdominal obesity	Waist circumference >90cm in men and >85cm in women
Hyperglycemia	Fasting blood glucose >6.1 mmol/L or 2h after OGTT blood glucose >7.8 mmol/L and/or diagnosed and treated with diabetes
Hypertension	Blood pressure >130/85 mmHg and/or hypertension was confirmed and treated.
Elevated riglycerides	Fasting TG>1.70 mmol/L
Decreased HDL cholesterol	Fasting HDL-C<1.04 mmol/L.

Three or more of these are diagnostic.
