The data are aggregated at the county level. The Median and the IQRs are calculated based on the percentages for each variable per county. The Median and IQR of variable “PM 2.5 average concentration” was calculated from publicly available data16 . The Median and IQR of variable “Smoker%” and “Binge Drinking%” were calculated from publicly available data17,19 . The Median and IQR of variables “Female%”, “Age”, “Race and ethnicity”, “Median Income”, and “Population” were calculated from data available from the National Cancer Institute’s Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results program.
