Benefits of plate compression with nonlocking screws and fracture gap reduction with eccentric screw placement. A. Nonlocking screws presses the plate against the bone, indirectly reduces the depressed bone to the plate. B. Inserting 2 nonlocking screws eccentrically at both side of the fracture further shortens the fracture gap, increases stability.
