Kaplan-Meier curves were used to estimate the time to increase in the number of positive items in category A of the Deliruim Screening Tool (DST) in the patients without (a) or with (b) cognitive decline over 7 days. The log rank test (Mantel-Cox) as well as hazard ratio with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to compare the two survival curves.
