Models for λ Beta-DNA structures. (A) A large Beta ring (18 subunits) is shown with DNA wrapped around the outside of the ring, as previously suggested for P22 Erf (64). (B) After Beta-catalyzed annealing of complementary ssDNA strands, Beta-dsDNA filaments are formed.
