The unadjusted model was adjusted for patient demographic characteristics, payer status, site of origin, and time trends. The hospital COVID-19 odds ratios (ORs) quantify the association between the outcome and the hospital COVID-19 burden for White individuals. The interaction term COVID19 × Black odds ratios quantifies the additional effect observed with the hospital COVID-19 burden for Black individuals compared with White individuals.
