Hisactophilin is phosphorylated on serine residue(s) in vivo. Wild type cells were metabolically labeled with 32P-orthophosphate and were then exposed to 400 mM sorbitol for 2 h. Hisactophilin was isolated by immunoprecipitation and was analyzed by 2-D thin layer electrophoresis.
