Substrate and metabolite concentrations and LDH activity during the static production of MeV in DMEM (10% FBS), VP-SFM (4 mM Gln), CDM 73614C and CDM 73835C (both according to Merck’s instructions). Following the infection of Vero cells with MeV, the cultivation temperature was reduced from 37 to 32 °C and a complete media exchange was carried out ~1 day later. Data points after medium exchange were not measured, but were copied from the origin data (–0.82 dpi). Solid lines (data plotted left): glucose, glutamine, pyruvate, glutamate.
