Figure 3.

Figure 3

Magnetic properties of GdPS. a) Zero‐field‐cooling (ZFC) and field‐cooling (FC) temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility for GdPS measured with out‐of‐plane (H//c) magnetic fields of 1 T. Data taken under in‐plane field is provided in Figure S7 in Supporting Information. b) Field‐dependent magnetization of GdPS at (top) 1.5 K and (bottom) 10 K, measured with field along the c‐axis (perpendicular to the P plane) and within the ab‐plane (parallel to the P plane). Magnetization exhibits saturation behavior at high field, indicating a polarized FM state. c) TDO measured at various magnetic field orientations. The transition‐like feature near 15 T (indicated by the black arrow) signatures the moment polarization to an FM state. At high field, dHvA oscillation in TDO can be observed. d) Critical field for moment polarization, as a function of the magnetic field orientation, extracted from TDO measurement. The polarization field H p is essentially field‐orientation‐independent.
