Cardiac glycosides block TNF-α-induced IκBα degradation. HeLa cells were pretreated with 100 nM oleandrin (I) (a), 100 nM digitoxin (II) (b), or 2,000 nM inactive cardiac glycoside (VIII) (c) for different times, as indicated.
