The hydrolyzed IF was able to avoid the allergy‐induced decrease in butyrate concentration. Concentrations of acetate, propionate, and butyrate were examined in all samples and total SCFAs were calculated as the sum of the three. Data are represented as mean ± SD (n = 3). Different letters indicate significant difference (p < .05). Acetate, propionate, and total SCFAs were not observed to be statistically significant in all samples and are therefore not labeled.
