Overview of study design and analyses. We recruited a total of 276 participants (CD, n = 230; HCs, n = 46) and collected fecal samples, blood samples, multiparameter brain MRI data, and responses to a psychological questionnaire. Subsequently, a multiomics analysis of the Gut-brain axis was conducted to investigate the brain features of CD and the underlying mechanisms. (CD, Crohn’s disease; HCs, healthy controls; 16Sr RNA, 16S ribosomal ribonucleic acid)
