Expression of UL11 chimeras having foreign acidic cluster sequences. (A) Biochemical analysis. A7 cells were transfected with the indicated constructs and labeled with [³⁵S]methionine for 2.5 h. The labeled proteins were immunoprecipitated with anti-GFP serum, subjected to SDS-PAGE analysis, and visualized by autoradiography. (B) Subcellular localization. Constructs were transfected into A7 cells, and 18 h later, the UL11-GFP derivatives were visualized by confocal microscopy.
