Probability of falsely detecting moderate background selection a) and moderately strong background selection b) as a sweep as a function of false positive rate under neutrality for the three linear α-DAWG models trained using the Constant_2 dataset as in Fig. 2. The probability of a false sweep signal is the fraction of background selection test replicates with a sweep probability higher than the sweep probability under neutral test replicates that generated a given false positive rate.
