Proposed model of Rab10 action in cocaine-induced behavioral sensitization by altering GABABR expression. Rab10 is a key regulator of GABABR plasma membrane expression in the NAc region under basal state or after cocaine treatment. Rab10 deficiency increased plasma membrane expression of GABABR in NAc neurons of cocaine-treated animals to the physiological level, which, in turn, inhibited cocaine-induced behavioral sensitization measured by an open-field test.
