Microscopic features of ethanol‐induced gastric ulcer. (a) Deep necrosis in the gastric mucosa (dotted line) is observed that continues until near the base of gland. Submucosal layer is thickened due to infiltrated inflammatory cells and fibrin deposition (asterisk).
