Examples of the critical selfing rate for genes expressed in the gametophyte phase only. Results are derived from equation (2), showing that the critical selfing rate has a negative relationship with the mutation rate ($\mu ={10}^{-4}$ and 10⁻⁵) but a positive relationship with the selection coefficient ($s_{\mathrm{hap}}$) increasing from 0.00002 to 0.001 for a deleterious allele.
