Global distribution of soybean production in 2020 based on the GGCP10 dataset. High-production areas are primarily concentrated in the eastern Great Plains of the United States, southern Brazil, and northern Argentina, with additional significant production zones in Northeast China and central India. The latitudinal distribution exhibits a bimodal pattern, with production peaks between 15°S and 35°S in the Southern Hemisphere and between 30°N and 50°N in the Northern Hemisphere. Longitudinally, production also shows a bimodal distribution, with major peaks around 90°W and 65°W, corresponding to the primary soybean-growing regions in North and South America.
