Southern blot analysis of chromosomal DNA from the rml mutants. EcoRI-digested chromosomal DNA was hybridized with DIG-labeled probe I. Lanes 1 to 5 contain chromosomal DNA of Xc, Xc23, Xc24, Xc21, and Xc26, respectively. M: HindIII-digested and DIG-labeled lambda DNA.
