The mixture contains 100 mM cetrimonium bromide (CTAB), 100 μM ABAP ligand, 10 mM 4-tert-butylpyridine as coligand, and 500 μM [IrCl(COD)(MeIMes)] (MeIMes = 1,3-bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)-4,5-dimethylimidazole-2-ylidene) in 1:1 (v/v) chloroform:heptane and 3.1% (v/v) of 50 mM Tris buffer, pH 8.0. Signals are of heptane (∼, suppressed), CTAB (§), water (4.65 ppm), and orthohydrogen (4.62 ppm; truncated).
