Differential methylation analysis. (A) Differentially hyper- and hypo-methylated regions across the chromosomes of Black female children with OSA, compared to matched healthy subjects. To identify differential methylated regions, a threshold of q0.01 and a minimum methylation difference of 25 % were employed. (B) Genes that exhibit differential gene expression (p0.01 with a minimum two-fold difference) and differential methylation (q0.01 with a minimum of 25 % difference) within a 5000 bases (proximal) of their TSS. (C) MSigDB enrichment analysis of genes significantly differentially expressed and methylated within 200,000 bases (distal) of their TSS.
