Schematic representation of the protein structures of native Ang1 and Ang2. This diagram illustrates the structural components of both Ang1 and Ang2, highlighting key domains and motifs. Each protein is characterized by an N-terminal signal peptide that directs the protein to its secretion pathway. Following the signal peptide, both Ang1 and Ang2 contain a superclustering domain, which facilitates the dimerization of these proteins. This is followed by a coiled-coil domain, important for protein–protein interactions, and short linkers that connect the various functional domains.
