Effects of phage-displayed peptides on the survival of R2866. Each well of a 96-well plate was inoculated with 15,000 CFU of NTHi strain R2866 and twofold dilutions of phage-displayed peptides (see Materials and Methods). Controls include R2866 without phage-displayed peptides and R2866 with dilutions of f88-4/15-mer unselected library. The number of viable bacteria was determined by performing colony counts on the diluted inoculum. Error bars indicate standard deviations for three experiments.
