Rsr1p and Bud2p are important for hyphal morphogenesis. C. albicans strains JB6284 (WT), CA8880 (rsr1Δ/Δ), MG9215 (rsr1Δ/Δ::RSR1), DH7453 (bud2Δ/Δ), and MG9017 (bud2Δ/Δ::BUD2) were grown to stationary phase under YF conditions. Equal numbers of cells were then inoculated (embedded) into yeast-peptone-sucrose agar (YPS) and Spider agar, both at 37°C for 3 days, and on milk-Tween agar (MT) at 30°C for 10 days and photographed.
