Group IV (Azithromycin with Selenium and Vitamin E Treatment): A close look through a light microscope at the heart tissues shows that they have returned to their normal shape, just like the control group. This suggests that selenium and vitamin E are protecting the heart from damage caused by azithromycin. We used Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining at a 400x magnification.
