The N1/N2 ratio converges at decreased PCR inhibitor concentrations. The ratios were calculated after comparative dPCR analyses using TNA extracts of the WWTPs Ruhleben (n = 21) and Waßmannsdorf (n = 19) from 4 February 2024, until 27 March 2024, with (in blue, left) or without (in red, right) PIR treatment as templates. PIR was conducted using the OneStepTM PCR inhibitor removal kit.
