Effect of ATF3 knockdown on proliferation activity of wild-type cells. (A) TGR1 cell lines #1 and #2 stably expressing ATF3 siRNA were established as in Materials and methods. The cells were serum starved for 48 h and stimulated with 10% serum for 8 h, and their expression of ATF3 and c-Myc was assayed by Western blot. TGR1 cell line stably expressing GFP siRNA was used as control. (B) Proliferation of ATF3 siRNA #1, #2, and GFP siRNA cell lines was determined as in Materials and methods.
