Table 1 presents the mean preference for human (vs. AI) generated advice in study 1 coded such that 0 = strongly prefer AI, 50 = no preference, and 100 = strongly prefer human. The columns represent the mean preference (“M”) and standard deviation (“SD”). The shaded portion of the table presents the results of a one-sample t-test comparing the mean to 50% (no preference) with associated t-statistic, p-value, 95% confidence interval (“Lower CI” and “Upper CI”), and Cohen’s d effect sizes.
