I think using a previous review as a starting point is, in theory, a really good idea. But of course, it depends on the methods that have been used for that previous review and feeling confident that you can rely on its findings. (Information Specialist #1)
I don't think that you can take a previous review, only perhaps as a source of studies. I think you would still have to go back to the studies that were in it. I have hesitations about using a previous review because I think you're always going to want to dig in a bit more to the studies that were in it. (Methodologist #2)
